Open Enrollment for our lottery process is currently in progress.
Applications for the 2012-2013 lottery are due by Feb 17, 2012, 4:30pm. Please stop by the school prior to the deadline to turn in applications. Applications are available at the front desk or available for download at FPA Lottery Application.
Consistent with the Freedom Academy Parent/Student Handbook, State, and Federal guidelines student enrollment is based on the following priority:
1. Current Enrollment
2. Lottery Enrollment
Current Enrollment:
Enrollment for any grade is given to:
- Children of School Founders
- Returning Students
- Siblings of Returning Students
- Children of Full-time Faculty members
Lottery Enrollment
Openings remaining after the current enrollment are awarded by lottery. New families applying to FPA must have their “Intent to Enroll” form turned in by Feb. 17th to be included in the lottery. Any students applying after Feb. 17th will be placed at the end of the waiting list in the order they are received.
The lottery will be held for any open K-8 seats and the new ninth grade seats on Friday, Feb. 24, 2012. Each grade is lotteried separately beginning with the youngest grade. Once accepted, applicants will be notified, by letter, within 10 days. Parents have 15 calendar days from the time the letter was mailed to claim their space. Unclaimed spaces will be given to the next applicant on the list. Any applicant that is not accepted at the time of the lottery will be placed on a waiting list and notified by email. As spaces become available, the next applicant on the list will be notified.
After the initial lottery, in an effort to keep families together, if one child has been accepted, any sibling(s) will be moved to the top of their respective grade wait lists.
New students are accepted until October 1, 2013 as openings occur.
