(From today’s email newsflash)

Dear Freedom Preparatory Parents,

What a great start to a new year we had yesterday.  It was great to see everyone back as well as our new families.

As you know it takes several days for things to settle down and smooth out.  We appreciate your patience in assisting our efforts in the following areas:

Morning drop-off – please pull as far forward as possible along the sidewalk in front of the building.  Students exit vehicles ONLY on the side closest to the building.  Parents should not stop and get out of their vehicles.  If you desire to walk with your children, please park on the east side of the school and walk to the west playground area where all students line up.

Classes begin entering the building shortly after 8:20, escorted by their teachers.

Afternoon pick-up – To expedite pick-up, we ask that you honor your zone pick-up time.  If you wish to pick up your child, please park in the east parking lot and walk into the school.  We ask that you do not leave your car unattended in the front of the school.  This stops  the pick up process for parents who are waiting in line.   Please have your Zone cards visible in your front window.  Your child will not be ready for pick up until the designated time.

Zone 1 – (City of Orem and north):  3:15-3:22
Zone 3 – (West of University Ave., South of Center Street in Provo):  3:15-3:22
Zone 2 – (East of University Ave in Provo):  3:22-3:3:29
Zone 4 – (West of University Ave., North of Center Street in Provo):  3:22-3:29
Zone 5 – (Springville and Mapleton):  3:29-3:36
Zone 6 – (American Fork and South):  3:36-3:43

$1 a minute late charges start apply after 3:45

If you would like to accumulate some volunteer hourswe need some parent volunteers to help out with both morning drop-off and afternoon pick-up.  We have many new families that are unfamiliar with our procedures and increasing the man-power for the first few weeks would greatly assist our efforts early on.  Please contact the front office (801-437-3100) or Mr. Ivie bivie [AT] pfa.cc to volunteer for a few weeks. We also need parents to run our patriot store every Thursday throughout the school year.
